Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern Policy

Cancer Biome and Targeted Therapy is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the scholarly record. The journal follows recommendations established by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) when addressing post-publication issues.

• Corrections: When errors are identified that do not compromise the overall results, interpretation, or conclusions of a published article, the journal may issue a formal correction notice. Corrections are linked to the original article to ensure transparency and accurate citation of the scholarly record.

• Retractions: Articles may be retracted in cases involving significant errors, unreliable findings, plagiarism, duplicate publication, ethical violations, image or data manipulation, or other forms of research or publication misconduct. Retraction notices remain permanently linked to the original article and clearly state the reasons for retraction.

• Expressions of Concern: An Expression of Concern may be issued when substantial concerns regarding a published article are under investigation but cannot be resolved promptly. This notice informs readers while the matter is being evaluated.

• Post Publication Transparency: All correction notices, retractions, and expressions of concern are permanently linked to the relevant article and are freely accessible to readers.
