Raw Data retention policy
Raw Data Retention Policy
Authors are expected to retain the original raw data supporting the findings reported in their article for a minimum of six years following publication. This includes, but is not limited to, datasets, laboratory records, imaging files, computational scripts, and any other materials necessary to verify and reproduce the results.
Upon reasonable request, authors should be prepared to provide access to the raw data to editors and peer reviewers, adhering to ethical and legal standards. This is especially important in cases where concerns arise regarding data integrity or research validity.
If data cannot be shared due to legal, ethical, or contractual restrictions (e.g., patient confidentiality, third-party agreements), authors must disclose this at the time of submission and specify the conditions under which data may be made available.
Failure to retain or provide access to data upon request may prompt the editorial office to initiate further investigation and may result in contacting the authors’ affiliated institution or funding body and corrections or retractions of the study.
