Funding Sources Disclosure
Funding Sources Disclosure Policy
Cancer Biome and Targeted Therapy (CBTT) requires full transparency regarding all sources of financial support for submitted research. Disclosure of funding ensures accountability, allows readers to assess potential influences, and promotes trust in the scholarly record.
What to Disclose
At the time of submission, all authors must disclose any financial support received for:
- Study design, data collection, or data analysis
- Manuscript writing, editing, or publication
- Conference travel or research presentation
- Open access or article processing charges (if applicable)
This includes funding from:
- Government agencies and academic institutions
- Non-profit foundations and charitable organizations
- Commercial entities (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, etc.)
- Internal university or departmental funds
- Fellowship or scholarship awards
How to Declare
A Funding Sources Statement must be included in the manuscript under a dedicated heading, for example:
Funding: This work was supported by the National Cancer Institute (Grant No. R01CAxxxxx).
or
Funding: This research received no external funding.
Funding information should also be provided in the submission system metadata. Omission of funding details may delay review, result in rejection, or require post-publication correction.
Editorial Independence
All editorial decisions are made independently and are based solely on scientific merit, methodological quality, and ethical compliance. Funding sources do not influence the editorial process or outcomes.
Relationship to COI Disclosure
Disclosure of funding does not replace the requirement for declaring potential conflicts of interest (COIs) related to funding bodies. Authors must complete both disclosures.
